Tourism Month: Where Community, Craft & Experience Come Together
September marks Tourism Month, a time to celebrate the people, places and experiences that make South Africa such a special destination. For Kiwinet, tourism has always been closely connected to our story. For more than three decades, our locally crafted mosquito nets have helped create memorable guest experiences in lodges, guesthouses and hospitality destinations across Southern Africa and beyond.
From beautifully considered interiors to safe, peaceful nights under the stars, we believe the smallest details can leave a lasting impression. This month, we celebrate the tourism industry, our hospitality clients and our home community of Stanford, where local craft, nature, creativity and connection continue to bring visitors back.
Stanford & Community
Our connection to tourism begins right here in Stanford. As a local business, we’re proud to contribute to a community that welcomes visitors while creating livelihoods through local craftsmanship. Our staff come from a diverse background of skills – flower pickers, fish and mushroom farming, retail, hospitality etc and they have all learnt the ins and outs of Kiwinets material / fabric CMT operation in our quaint village.
Tourism strengthens the places we call home and we’re proud to play our part.
Stanford in Bloom – Chelsea on Show
This September, we’re especially excited to support Stanford in Bloom, running from 12–27 September 2026. With gardens, markets, workshops, food, music and the award-winning Life After Fire Chelsea floral exhibition, it’s another wonderful reason to experience our village in bloom.
If you can dream it, Kiwinet can create it.
