Community – a good reason to support local!
Do you ever think about the people behind the product? The real people. The people from the community, with families to support, and dreams as big as Kiwinet mosquito nets itself?
With our head office and workshop located in the sleepy holiday village of Stanford in the Western Cape, our compliment of just under 20 seamstress and carpentry staff yield from the local community of Stanford itself. This means that their employ with Kiwinet supports the livelihood and dream of dozens of local families.
Our proudly South African product directly impacts on the local economy, and we couldn’t be prouder of the opportunities that our company is able to provide.
We’re all aware that buying local is indeed the best route to being environmentally friendly while at the same time, supporting local communities. By buying goods that are locally produced, consumers help stimulate their regional (and national) economy, help create and retain valuable jobs, support families and strengthen both community and culture.
In an exciting announcement, Kiwinet mosquito nets and NPO Grootbos Foundation – www.grootbosfoundation.org are joining forces early 2023 to introduce a much needed seamstress training program for the local community. In this social upliftment initiative Kiwinet will train willing seamstresses into the trade providing them with a launchpad for basic skills employment or home industry self-employment opportunities.
We proudly EMPLOY | SOURCE | PRODUCE locally.
If you can dream it, Kiwinet can make it.
