Tourism Month
Celebrated annually in September each year, Tourism Month provides a heightened month-long focus on the importance of this sector to all economies.
We remain humbled by the fact that our beautifully hand-crafted hospitality-oriented product provides both employment opportunities to a host of cutters, seamstresses, carpenters, ironers and folders within a small local community, as well as a truly ‘Out of Africa’ guest experience to our guest lodge clients.
And with spring in the air as Tourism Month is celebrated, what better time than now to understand how our product can enhance your guest lodge client experience in every way.
The aim of Tourism Month in South Africa is to encourage all South Africans to travel domestically, which in turn, both creates and sustains jobs and supports the recovery of tourism in line with the Tourism Sector Recovery Plan since the advent of Covid-19 and its devastating economic effects for the last two year.
We’re fully in favour of the campaigns during the annual tourism month which aim to create a culture of travel amongst South Africans – especially because of our proudly #madeinsouthafrica product – to gain a better understanding of the affordable, exciting and world-class attractions that are available right here on our doorstep.
And with Tourism Month providing the tourism industry with the opportunity for a heightened focus on the importance of tourism to the local economy, a business such as ours at Kiwinet mosquito nets very much welcomes the focus on growth with this local government initiative.
Go. See. Do.
